Anyone can win prizes finding buzzing insects for science
Gamers of all ages will be on the lookout for interesting flies, ants, bees and wasps as they compete for prizes and support scientific research. The Buzzing Bonanza BioQuest, a ‘Pokemon Go’ style real-life adventure, will see competitors submit sightings using their mobile phones. The competition runs from 9th-25th February and is open to anyone, anywhere.
Gamers to Help Scientists Map the World’s Butterflies and Moths
In what may be a world first, scientists are teaming up with gamers to map and discover butterflies and moths. From 5-21 January, gamers of all ages will be using their mobile phones to compete for prizes as they find and photograph some of nature’s most fascinating creatures - a group of insect known as Lepidoptera.
