This National Science Week, thousands of Australians will be opening their mobile phones, getting outdoors and competing to find enchanting creatures. But they won’t be searching for Pokémon. They’ll be searching for, and photographing, real life forms - in the Great Australian Biodiversity Challenge!
Could playing a game on your mobile phone help protect life on earth? The First Ever World BioQuest, held May 20-22, commemorates the International Day of Biological Diversity and involves over 30 different environmental organisations. People of all ages, in 14 different countries, will get outdoors and use their mobile phones to find and photograph as many species of life as they can.
